Having your routine dental cleanings is so important because we can check on the bone health of your teeth and make sure that you're not losing bone around your teeth. We also look for any bleeding. Sometimes people think that bleeding is okay. We want to make sure that you know it isn’t, and we want to get you to a point that you don't have that bleeding. We want you to have healthy gums and teeth. We are also going to make sure that there aren't any cavities starting. If there are, we want to get those taken care of before it creates a dental emergency. We also want to check the oral cavity. There aren't just issues on the teeth or the gums. It's also, we check your tongue and your palate and everything around your mouth, and issues will usually arise in the mouth before they do in the rest of your body. And we want to make sure we give you the heads-up and help you get through those things.

Place Your Oral Care in Our Skilled & Experienced Hands
Visiting Dr. Marshall or Dr. Jasek every six months for your regular dental exam and cleaning is one of the best things you can do for your smile. Routine checkups allow us to keep an eye on your oral health and make any recommendations for treatments to keep your smile on track.
Your dental hygienist will first examine your teeth and gums and check for cavities using an electronic cavity detector. We will also take a set of digital X-rays if needed. Then the hygienist will thoroughly clean and polish each of your teeth, paying close attention to hard-to-reach areas you might miss at home. When your cleaning is finished, your teeth will have that fresh, clean feeling you can only get from the dentist.
Next, your doctor will give you a thorough dental exam, checking for any oral problems that need attention. If needed, we will make recommendations for services like fluoride treatment or gum disease treatment. We can also help with chronic dry mouth and bad breath, so let us know if you suffer from either of these conditions.
